Your Name
Evan Bromfield

What High School do you attend?
Horizon High School

Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family is very important to me.
I am lucky to be both Jewish and half Japanese and got to experience different cultures which I believe has given me a unique perspective on life and values. My parents have been key role models in my life and have provided me with limitless opportunities to explore things that I am passionate about. They also taught me the value of hard work and push me to be the best version of myself.

Additionally, I have two younger sisters, one a sophomore at Arizona State University (Booo) and another about to graduate high school and enter college. My family has always supported me, and I have relied on them heavily throughout my life.

What are your plans after graduation?
Upon Graduation, I will be moving to Scottsdale, Arizona where I have accepted a full-time job offer with Vanguard.
I will be working as a Client Relationship Associate.

What are two of your favorite restaurants in our community?
My two favorite restaurants in Tucson are Fiamme Pizza and Taquería Juanitos

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world right now, I would travel to Asia. My mom and her family are from Japan and I would love to travel there to see where she grew up as well as explore the region as I have recently sparked an interest from different movies, and classes I have taken at the University of Arizona.

What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
One of my favorite movies is The Shawshank Redemption and one of my favorite TV shows is Breaking Bad.

If you were asked to give advice to your senior class and the younger students at your school, what would you say?
Advice I would give to students younger than me would be to maximize your opportunities and always give 100% to everything that you do whether that be academics, school organizations/clubs, or work. Enjoy these years as they go by way too quickly. I feel like I graduated high school yesterday and I know I am less than a month away from graduating college.

To my senior class, Congratulations!
We were able to graduate in difficult circumstances with everything going on the world while adjusting to virtual life which is a major accomplishment.

If you were able to be cast as yourself into a television show or series, what show would you want to be in?
If I could cast myself in a TV series, I would cast myself in Friends.

Imagine you could choose anyone to have lunch with, who would you choose? Why? And where, locally, would you meet for this lunch?
If I could have lunch with anyone, I would choose Elon Musk. As someone who is fascinated in both technology and cars, talking to Elon about Tesla and his other business endeavors would be insanely cool. I would take him to Taquería Juanitos, one of my favorite local spots in Tucson, because the food is excellent, and I do not think it would be a typical place Elon Musk would eat at.

What is your favorite thing about our community?
My favorite thing about our community is the diverse culture and rich history.

Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
In 5 to 10 years, I hope to have settled roots somewhere, progressed in my career aspirations as well as life goals.

What is something on your bucket list?
Something on my bucket list is to travel to all 50 States in the US.

What is your go to band / singer when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Billy Joel

Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month of the year is December, my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving and the best day on the calendar is July 31 (my birthday). December is my favorite month for many reasons. It always seems like in December people are happier, they are looking forward to the holidays and new year. Families are gathering together, often times for the first time in a while and everyone is in a festive spirit.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because of the traditions that my family, friends and I have. Every year, my friends and I go see a movie together on Thanksgiving which has been one the long standing traditions that we have as a friend group. Additionally, my family and I always watch the parade while perusing the local papers for different Black Friday deals.

What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
I would rate the Series Finale of Breaking Bad a 10 out of 10. It was a perfect ending to a great series in my opinion.

What is something you want to do as soon as this pandemic is finished?
Something I would like to do after the pandemic is over would be to travel overseas. Traveling to different countries has been something I have wanted to do for a while. Unfortunately the pandemic has delayed my plans.

Who inspires you to be better?
My Parents inspire me to be better. Seeing how hard they work on a daily basis inspires me to want to work as hard and be as motivated as them. I have been very fortunate in my life and it is all because of the work that my parents put in to ensure that they could always provide for me and my sisters. I hope to one day be able to provide that to a family of my own.

For All That You Do and Will Do,
