Tucson, AZ

We Love Tucson
In the over 40 years that I have spent in the Old Pueblo, I have seen Tucson change and grow to become a world- renowned city. There are international events and exhibits, acclaimed restaurants and eateries, and a vibrant, growing downtown scene.

Maybe that’s why Tucson won the IFEA award and it’s coveted designation as a World City of Festival and Events in 2017. Events like the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show and the All Souls Procession for Dia de los Muertos, show off Tucson’s expansive history and amazing culture.

It’s also why Tucson won the UNESCO City of Gastronomy Award in 2015, making it the first city in the United States to win the coveted award. There are so many fun things to do and incredible places to go like the Reid Park Zoo, Sabino Canyon or the Desert Museum.

The one common thread to this great city is the people who live here. The event coordinators, restaurant owners, police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, teachers, grocery store employees, wait staff, small business owners, students, animal lovers and children of all ages.  You can tell that they care about their city and that there is an amazing and uncommon pride of ownership.

Here, on these pages, we will introduce you to those incredible people that are an integral part to making it all possible and Why We Love Tucson AZ.
